Mr. & Mrs. Dave & Kim Safina and Mr. & Mrs. Duane & Tracy Whittemore are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Michael Safina & daughter Taylor Whittemore.
Safina graduated as Salutatorian from Exeter High School in 2007 where he was active in varsity water polo, swimming, madrigals, Vice President of CSF, President of FCA, Youth of the Year. He attended Cal Poly State University graduating on the dean's list in June 2011. He received a degree in Biological science with a concentration in anatomy and physiology. While at Cal Poly, the prospective groom was a member of the University Singers, WOW leadership and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Michael is the grandson of the late Bill Reece, Mary Reece, David & Loyce Safina.
Taylor Whittemore was a 2009 graduate of Arroyo Grande High School. The bride-to-be was involved in Varsity tennis, hockey, concert choir, marching band. Taylor is currently attending Cal Poly State University majoring in Music. She is a member of the Cal Poly Phonics and University singers. She is employed at Starbucks. Taylor is the grand daughter of the late Agnes Hernandez, Robert & Frances Hernandez, Don & Aleta Whittemore, Jim & Suzanne Brimble.
A Saturday, March 24, 2012 wedding on the central coast, is planned.

1 Thessalonians 4:11,12 continues to ruminate in my mind. "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of others and so that you will not be dependent on anyone."

Those words are pretty vivid. This is the season for me to invest in these words.

Dave and I started our remodel home adventure over 18+ months ago. Each week, I ask my sweet husband, "When will it end?" and his reply to me, "When it is finished." This has been such a long process. I never imagined that picking out kitchen sinks, faucets,outlets,paint color, windows, doors,etc.. was such a difficult decision to make. I am ready to fill the walls with family and friends and leave behind the sounds of blasting music, hammers and saws.
